Living Space Sciences is now a full member of the National Home Energy Rating scheme and can offer authorised NHER and SAP assesments.

SAP assesments are required on all new homes, and we hope that this service will underpin the consultancy and testing (SAP requires details of the airtightness test) that we already offer.

April 2006

On April 6th 2006 the revisions to Parts F and L of the Building Regulations will come into force. All new buildings will have to be tested for air-tightness, with the permeability of the envelope being limited to 10m³/hr/m²@50Pa.

Ventilation inside new homes will also need to comply with the ventilation rates given in the new Part F of the Building Regulations.
